Delete Your Bunkr Account

We're sorry to see you go. This page explains how to delete your Bunkr Golf account and what happens to your data when you do.

How to Delete Your Account

Option 1: In the Bunkr App

  1. Open the Bunkr app
  2. Go to Settings (tap your profile photo, then the gear icon)
  3. Scroll to the bottom and tap Delete Account
  4. Confirm your identity by signing in with your password, Google, or Apple account
  5. Review the summary of your data and confirm deletion

Option 2: By Email

If you no longer have access to the app or your device, you can request account deletion by emailing us:

Please include the email address associated with your Bunkr account so we can locate and process your request. We will verify your identity before proceeding.


What Happens When You Delete Your Account

Grace Period

After you request deletion, your account enters a 7-day grace period. During this time:

  • Your profile is hidden from other users
  • You can cancel the deletion by signing back into the app
  • After 7 days, deletion is permanent and irreversible

Data That Is Deleted

The following data is permanently removed from our systems:

  • Profile information — display name, bio, profile photo, home course, location
  • Scorecards and rounds — all recorded rounds and scoring data
  • Social content — feed posts, comments, likes, stories, and photos
  • Messages — all conversations and message history
  • Tee times — tee times you created or joined
  • Connections — followers, following, and friend connections
  • Golf stats — handicap history, performance statistics, and Bunkr Rating
  • Game data — skins, nassau, match play, and other game results
  • Marketplace listings — any equipment listings you created
  • Notification preferences — all notification settings
  • Search history — saved search entities

Data That May Be Retained

In limited circumstances, we may retain certain data as required by law or for legitimate business purposes:

  • Transaction records — if you made any purchases, records may be retained for tax and accounting compliance
  • Aggregated analytics — anonymized, non-identifiable usage statistics
  • Abuse and safety records — if your account was flagged for policy violations, limited records may be kept to prevent repeat abuse

Frequently Asked Questions

Can I recover my account after deletion?

During the 7-day grace period, yes — simply sign back into the app. After the grace period expires, your account and data are permanently deleted and cannot be recovered.

How long does deletion take?

Account deletion is processed automatically. Your data is removed within 24 hours after the 7-day grace period ends.

Will my data be removed from other users' devices?

Messages you sent to other users may still appear in their conversation history. Your comments on others' posts may be removed or anonymized. Content that other users saved or screenshotted is outside our control.

What happens to my Bunkr Rating?

Your Bunkr Rating and all associated statistics are permanently deleted along with your account.

I forgot my password — can I still delete my account?

Yes. Use the email option above, or reset your password in the app first using the "Forgot Password" link on the sign-in screen.
